Lagos Builds Capacity Of Newly Employed Surveyors

In its avowed commitment to enhance staff performance, the Lagos State Government recently organised training programme for the 25 newly employed surveyors in the State, with a task on them to ensure that they get properly educated about the principles of the practice.

The Surveyor General, Surveyor Olutomi Sangowanwa, at the event emphasised that it is imperative for the Surveyors to understand that there are laws and regulations guiding their practice, noting that the knowledge they would acquire during the training would go a long way to determine their performance, especially on the field.

He reiterated the need for the newly employed to get acquainted with the workings of the Lagos State Government and integrate fast to understand the operations of the Directorates in the Ministry.

He further emphasized the importance of technical training to further equip them for better performance.

The trainees were taken through lectures anchored by various facilitators and seasoned professionals while they also had opportunity to ask questions on various aspects of survey practice during practical session.
